Finding Your Shade

Cinq teintes de cache-tétons en silicone alignées du plus clair au plus profond, Ivoire, Sable, Miel, Noisette, Cacao, sur un rebord de fenêtre parisien à l’heure dorée

The rule is simpler than you might think: a cover is matched to the skin around it, not to the areola it hides. That is how it disappears.

Compare in daylight, near a window, looking at the skin of your chest. Never under a yellow bulb: it warms everything and distorts your judgement.

If you are torn between two

Take the darker one: a slightly deeper nude blends in, a nude that is too light shows. One exception: under white or a very pale, fine fabric, take the lighter one, because it is what is darker that shows through.

The five shades

  • Ivoire — very fair skin, pink or neutral undertone.
  • Sable — fair skin, golden or neutral undertone.
  • Miel — medium skin, golden or olive undertone.
  • Noisette — olive and sun-kissed skin, warm undertone.
  • Cacao — dark to very deep skin, warm or neutral undertone.

A shade carries the same name and the same colour from one product to the next: what you choose for Le Nu applies to La Goutte, Le Lift and La Seconde Peau, the version without adhesive.
